Many children receive subsidized breakfast and/or lunch during the school year, but when summer rolls around, these benefits disappear.
FISH attempts to fill the gap by offering extra food to families with school-age children (entering 1st grade through 12th grade) during the months of July and August.
Bags of food filled with soups, peanut butter, jelly, fruit, tuna, mayo, milk, cheese, snacks and more will be distributed with the MONTHLY visit.
Extra items may be offered during weekly visits, as available.
Your family must be registered with the pantry in order to receive summer lunch food items.
School bags and school supplies are provided to school-age children of registered FISH clients in August of each year. These backpacks should be considered a "starter kit," rather than providing the entirety of your child's school supply needs. The only requirement is that the family be registered prior to the school bag distribution event. Please see the FISH calendar for the distribution date for this year.
